It could be you think it's a bad book

Or maybe it's a favorite book and you don't trust the director

Or you think it's too good of a book to ever be a movie

it's a good book, but there's literally no plot. it's an exercise in world building, the later books kind of give it plot. - colinberry sauce Dec 15, 11:02
