I also suspect Sami didn't want to leave, but yeah. Owens lives close to Disney World, and his family goes all the time.

I suspect that they took stock of their life and realized they didn't want to change it. Then, he negotiated a hardball contract to ensure they're fine.
He also knows that if they do cut him later, he's an instant babyface in AEW.
From the reports I've read, I think he's on that Randy Orton tier behind Lesnar and Reigns now. So, we're probably talking $5 million a year.
