I can see people questioning if they should possibly adjust their actions temporarily due to another wave.

I'm not sure it's an all-or-nothing thing for everyone. But we know we're entering a wave (already in a wave?) and some people are considering adjusting their risk tolerance for a time during the wave.
(The people you seem to not understand are the ones who have not adjusted their risk tolerance at all since Day 0 and show no plans of doing so, if I'm reading you correctly?)
