it's been covid-free here and normal for the last 2 years, except it's been awfully inconvenient to leave/enter the state. almost to the point of impossibility for most people.
when we hit 80% of over-16s vaccinated they announced the borders would open to all vaccinated travellers with no quarantine on Feb. 5, when we're projected to hit 90% over-16 vaccination.
