It doesn't surprise me now. We're almost 2 years in. Apart from boosted people, the protection provided by vaccinations alone is waning

and those who remain unvaccinated will continue to be targets as much or more so now with a variant that spreads easier. The 30% of the population that remains unvaccinated is a petri dish of infections just waiting to happen and it is going to continue to spill over into those of us who have been vaccinated due to the sheer weight of their numbers
