Not everyone will get it. Not even close. Around 400k people have gotten Omicron in South Africa. There are 60.4 million people living there.

That's .66% of the population.
Also, keep in mind that South Africa's vaccination rate is much lower than Canada or the U.S. That most likely increased infections there.
