Sure, let's be cautious since this is early in the variant's life. But we should also be cautious about how many people will get infected, too.

It's dangerous that WHO and the scientist you quoted to start causing panic about everyone (literally EVERYONE in the Gary Oldman sense) getting this, yet somehow it's just too early to know if it's less severe.
We don't know 100% but the indicators are this is more infectious, less severe, and is going away faster than previous variants.
