Covid. SIL's husband is a doctor (but they're in FL so he's not as careful about this as I would expect). He has booked us hotel rooms until his daughter's quarantine period is over (supposedly Sunday). She has only mild cold symptoms BTW. My MIL still is planning to go. My wife will absolutely go with her (would not want her traveling alone). Would you go? My wife called our doctor and his response was pretty similar to my BIL (and our doctor has been pretty conservative). He says basically we're all going to get it. If we're boostered and without underlying conditions and take standard precautions like masking he would not advise us to stay home (and if it was him he would probably go). I'm uncomfortable with it, but unsure. There are a few other considerations for me, like, I need to work next week and it's extremely busy. Working at a hotel is far from ideal and it will make my life harder. On the flipside, part of me would just like to get it over with since this thing seems to be spreading like wildfire. My annoyance is that I don't feel like my wife and her family are thinking through logistics beyond "here's a hotel room". Do we not visit them until Sunday? Is everyone masking when we do? Are we staying outside? Niece is quarantining upstairs in her room. Is the rest of the family testing before we come over since they've been exposed? I feel like there's a whole of distance between don't go or go and nobody is exploring that. Thoughts here?
