The guy was an emotional train wreck, drunk, stoned, coked up, refused to shower, filthy hair, and somehow looked unbelievably hot, his hottest ever. The fans call him at that stage McBeardy. He had unusual facial beauty, impossible to take a bad photo. IMO it's one of the reasons John always had a hard time coping with him. John was the band leader in terms of personality. Paul was the superior musician and songwriter, and he also had that face. John did an interview in th 70s where he was asked about popularity of the individual Beatles, he said it started in Hamburg, they always knew Paul had the biggest popularity. I think part of the reason they initially did so well is because Paul looked so damn good in black and white photos and TV.
Was also mesmerized by Linda. Did NOT expect her to be that pretty. Full disclosure, through the 70s, 80s, etc, hated Linda because Paul did her no favors at all. Shoved her in the limelight (which apparently she did not like). Gave her solos in concert with the camera on her. Also during those years, her haircuts, etc did her no favors. She came across as very plain.
George was always the most handsome of the Beatles, IMO, in the classical sense.
RIngo was ugly and also striking. Pretty eyes. In Get Back I think my opinion of him went up the MOST. He was Zen. He spoke very little, he was chill, he was LISTENING.
