It's been a long while since I've seen case counts used. Locally, we depend on number of positive tests overall.

Hospitalizations are used as a way to measure the latest strain's severity, but not it's spread. COVID is out in the community, there are no questions anymore about just how widespread it is. It's widespread and bob's your uncle.
