Keepers get set *after* trades are done. Each of those picks were legitimate picks. They were just retained picks.

But I drafted my first 3-4 guys and gave up the first 3-4 picks I had. If I had 3 picks in the first round, (the first 12 actions), I would have spent all 3 keeping my guys and picked in Round 2. We spoke for those actions but they were still picks. We had 15 of them. Just some kept players and others gave themselves options.
