Trades have already been made for 2022. So, I don't follow your logic...and I definitely don't follow Hunting's.

Here's an example. JD and NWBR agreed to an in-season trade where JD got a player immediately. During the draft, JD will trade his first pick that he promises will occur no later than the sixth round.
