Just showed up to start work. My sister-in-law has a two-year stint at the embassy.

She started working with the State Department over a year ago and spent the initial months training, but every time they were ready to go there was either a delay due to COVID, housing, or her pregnancy. Interestingly the rule is the stint starts from the day you land rather than when you got the assignment.
