With all due respect, I think 3 is a self-justifying copout and pretty condescending.

You may view your vote as more meaningful to you, but I doubt those of us who made the effort to vote, some who stood in line for quite a long time, feel that your withholding your vote means that you have higher standards or that it's more valuable. Some of us choose to vote because it still matters who is elected even if the candidate doesn't meet all of our standards. There still are better and lesser choices and it matters to the country which person gets chosen, even if we might wish someone better was available.
