In response to "I will say the flaw is that there's no difference to crash trading a 1st or 7th in this system. -- nm" by Reagen

For him there isn't. But the two parties know exactly what they're trading at least.

If he wants Kelce, knowing he'll be his 7th round keeper, he will give me the pick I want for fear of David saying "Kelce for my 11th rounder! SURE, I'll give you a 3rd."

But we both know prior to that that I'm getting a 3rd (I'm static with that value) and he's pretty static in knowing what his keeper cost will be.

The other way is if he looks to keep 4 guys, and I get his 3rd...I'm thinking I'm getting the 6th rounder....but he decides to hold 6 ... and I'm dumped to an 8th? That's not fair to me.

No team should need to a) agree to what's assumed to be fair compensation and b) hope to god they also guessed right in what the other party is going to do in the time between trade and keeper lock.
