I get why companies do it, money and greed. They can make a good chunk of change and don't have to actual produce a product beyond some easily created

jpeg. I'd sell them to people if they were buying them. The people buying these things are just speculators looking to flip them for more money later. They're not into it for the art as we see by them buying ugly and easily replicated Apes and such.
If they wanted to support artists they would have been buying their art for years. They only want to make money off their NFTs.
I hope someone finds a better use for them besides this ridiculousness.
