I submitted my application to Global Entry in early Nov (MrsJax, 2 weeks later). Got approved, and we just did our interview at TPA Wednesday.

getting the interview scheduled is the hard part. You just have to check the site every day to see if an appointment opens up, and be able to go that day.
Or, if you're close to one of the main Border/TSA offices (like Miami you can literally do walk-ins every day).
