I went to the NYU Dental School and had some work done. It's very, very slow and not really all that much cheaper.

I got some work done last year thanks to the generous donations from STers. But I still need more extractions and I need implants. I'd rather have that work done by someone with experience.
I can't afford any of the work I need done so it's kind of a moot point. I can't afford the dental school or a regular dentist.
I have medicaid through Obamacare but it doesn't cover much dental work.
