at my old job I was on the train for half an hour each way, opposite direction from traffic.

always had a seat, train went along the coast for a good chunk, so it was quite scenic, and I could just sit and read or listen to podcasts or whatever. now the bus would take me twice as long as driving, and wouldn't be nearly as scenic, but I'm in the office max one day a week.
