We are loooooong overdue* on replacing our hot water heater. Anyone have recent experience with a new gas tankless water heater?

they are excellent, cost very little. i'd get an outdoor one - save some space, easy access, etc.

We put one in our house while it was being built. Works like a champ. I recall it was more expensive than a regular water heater. It never runs out of

I forget, when we replaced ours just over a year ago, whether we really looked into tankless, but went with a traditional gas replacement instead.

wait - the install date on it is 4/6/99. Going on 23 years. This water heater would have graduated college by now

we chickened out at the requirements, either 2 220 breakers or a commercial grade natural gas line. -- nm
