I expect its that my car weighs ~3800 pounds and is RWD. But, yes, I do enjoy punching it and that eats tires.

Regen might affect tire wear, but it shouldn't any more than regular braking does.
The big thing is the instant, no slip torque. Makes punching it from a standstill super fun.
