I don't begrudge people for buying into the metaverse concept. But I do for crypto.

I am horrified at what the crypto mindset means for the World Wide Web. It is not a democratizing force. It is not going to be allowed to be truly decentralized.

It is capitalism writ large, and it will rot humanity to the core.

(Which is also true of regular currency.)

This is not the way.
