Early renewed our mortgage on a 5-year variable closed for 1.45%. Probably could've done better, but there'd be too much hassle to switch everything. -- nm

Us too. We did variable in 2011 and did great. In 2016, the spread was only .35% so we fixed, looked great at first and then ended up out. -- nm
