So, it’s well-known Tom Cruise was an early choice / option to play Tony Stark before RDJ got the part.

There’s a purported screen shot that has Tom Cruise playing Tony Stark in one of the multiverse realities in Strange 2 since it’s established all these characters are degrees different across universes.

If that’s accurate, that’s a really strong cameo type situation.
