I just watched tonight's and I'd say you're 100% correct, BUT there's a huge caveat: the first 4 episodes didn't quite deliver on their own, so these dalliances - while awesome - are somewhat hindered by that.

I will say the following:

* I actually hoped to see Boba in this one, so that was good. Seems like he should be able to make an appearance in his own show.
* Droids! Jedis! ... Cowboys? Sure! Everything under the suns!
* Cad Bane is fucking bad-ass. But he's gonna have to die. Just like that idiot deputy.
* The use of the skull, and the bones, amused me quite a bit
