Could also just be that the asses get the press so they're more visible.

Musk is definitely a "you're not as funny as you think you are" type, but I also think he's on the spectrum and that affects how he presents himself and how he is covered.

I'm okay with his "It ain't bragging if you can do it" but a LOT less okay with his forays into policy. And not at all okay with the belittling stuff he sometimes engages in (the cave guy "pedo" comments as an example).

But as a manager, his teams seem to appreciate him, and I've not seen him demean them or their work. He seems very straight forward with his expectations, his companies pay well and have strong benefits. HR needs to do a better job with making the factories less hostile, but are actively working to do so
