Yes. They don't build cars on spec. All cars (minus a handful for showrooms) have a buyer.

If a buyer backs out of the sale, there are plenty of other people who will buy the car.
Tesla still cannot build fast enough to meet demand.
They never sell at a discount, either. Even insiders pay full price
