Pre-pandemic, it was 1. American; 2. Delta; 3. Southwest; 4. United IIRC with Southwest and United close in size.

Southwest IINM has for quite some time been the biggest airline in terms of numbers of US domestics passengers. But AA, DL, UA have much, much larger international presences than Southwest which makes them bigger overall.
