what sells for well over donor value is aged, you know old dusty bottles, 5 years or better

which you get from
distributors (old stock, odd lot, leftoves etc)
restaurants
collectors, (and yes its an old tactic to collect wine just to donate cause you buy it for 20 or so and when it sells for 100 its a better deduction
and of course wineries (ok, I guess you don't have too many of those in detroit and no, MD20/20 doesn't count)
