It's been over a decade since I attended an F1 race, but they often devote the evenings to sponsored "fun drives" to corporate sponsors, major ticket buyers, local organizations, and other VIPs. That's how the Top Gear crew got to drive the Monaco circuit.
There is always a chance I'll get to ride along in a car, but if I get to drive ... look the fuck out, everyone!
