I get this, experience similar at work myself every so often. I have no desire to move up from my current position.

Every once and awhile though, an opportunity to move up a position or two comes up. People point me towards it. My boss asks if I'm interested. And I briefly toy with the idea.
Could I do the job? Definitely. Do I want to do the job? Ehhh, not really.
Where I'm at is fine. Maybe I'm complacent. But really it's more that the compensation/bullshit ratio is good where I'm at. Skewed towards the compensation actually.
Is my work challenging? Not at all. But I don't want to be challenged at work. I want to do the job and then be done with it at the end of the day.
