oh really? Out east a lot of cities do this. You can't park in a residential area unless you have a sticker from the city. -- nm

Seriously. We just get the state tag from DMV, no city tags. Though I do have to display a community tag (HOA rules) in my rear window.

A little different here. It's essentially just an annual city tax on your car. $80 a year for a sticker that you display on the windshield.

I lived in Windsor Terrace, and I picked places that were on the border of the park or the PXway. More parking there.
