i imagine that's a huge struggle for most parents.. you can't have your kids be ignorant of the world, but you don't want them defeated right out of

the gate.
there is still a lot of room for optimisms and activism. it just won't change the world. i've learned that i can POSSIBLY through hard work change my very local community or town, but beyond that, there are forces at play that i don't have the money to influence.
good luck on keeping the dark clouds away.
