I had to break my GF of the habit of talking about COVID stuff in front of her kids.

I could tell it was stressing them out and they never wanted to go anywhere or do anything. They got so paranoid. I mean, being cautious and careful is of course a good thing, but kids don't needs to be overly paranoid and afraid of life. it's a tough balance I'm sure. I do not envy parents (I only consider myself a part-time adult figure right now, not parent).
