One of the lessons Russia will probably learn is not to rely on conscripted, poorly trained forces.

At lot of these forces are on 1 or 2 year terms of conscription. Maybe enough time to be trained to point and shoot, but not even close to enough time to be trained in urban combat. Add supply chain failures and these raw recruits are left hanging behind enemy lines with no support and no SERE training. Demoralized? hell, yeah.
The only thing keeping some troops from defecting is having family back in Russia that would pay the price.
