An actual shooting war ... I hold out significant hope it won't be. A collection of retired operators tagging along only makes Putin's job easier

this war is PR based as much as it's shock and awe. Biden's greatest movie was pre-empting all the Russian reasons for war by sharing and publicizing intelligence. We told the world what Putin's script would be so that he could justify this attack.
We took that away from him for most of the major players. Now, if Ukraine hits back and makes it tough while the rest of the world just harms the pocketbooks...it's one thing.
But US / UK / German operatives on the attack physically is a PR chit that he will use to rally flagging Russian support.
And 10 of our retired guys cut off from the US training / communication aren't the same as the few dozen guys who made early Afghanistan progress in 2001/02
