I remember as a kid watching an episode of M*A*S*H. Radar said to Hawkeye "My uncle is a notary public". Hawkeye responded "Anyone can become a notary public."

I said "I want to be a notary public" despite having no idea what that meant.

We offer free notary service and needed backup notaries. Since it didn't cost me anything, I said "Sure, sign me up"
