Apparently we're saying the Poles cooked this up on their own and didn't ask us first.

That's either Ass Covering by us or a very dumb thing for the Poles to have talked about. You don't talk about something like this. The first time we should have heard about this is when the Ukrainians shot down a Russian jet, with these swapped MIGs, for the first time.
