De Quervain’s tendonitis update: Marked improvement both with the splint and without. Only pain while wearing is ironically from the split itself.

Places where it pinches skin sometimes, or the bulkiness makes me bump into something jarringly. But the ongoing thrum of pain is very, very minor.
Without the splint, I can do the thumb to pinky exercise without hating it completely. But there is still pain, if not the snap/unsnap feeling of the tendon within its sheath. 😈 Similar pain with the bending the thumb at the knuckle exercise. Neither is even close to what it was the last two days since the steroid injection procedure.
So ultimately, I’m feeling a lot better. I think there is still plenty of improvement to come. Hopefully even as quickly as the next two days, but certainly before the next appointment in 12.
