The nice thing about that one is that it has a USB-C plug to power the device with one cord in a dorm room.

Basically every TV these days is just a giant monitor. The "issue" with doing that tends to be around the quality of that monitor relative to PC

probably any 4k tv will work for her, just make sure the cables match up. Does her laptop have hdmi or is it display port or usb-c?

We don't have the laptop yet. Waiting for the new ROG Zephyrs to come out (they have a built in webcam)

I thought this but regretted not getting a monitor-suitable TV almost instantly. buy for the future. laptop screens are bad for equations etc. -- nm
