Wow! That's a tough call there. We had a rough call in our new living room, but not like that.

In our case, they had a built in late 80s looking entertainment center, not centered on the wall.
Well, none of the TVs we own are small enough to fit in there, plus it's ugly and we don't like it.
So - we ripped it out and plan to cover the built in space and make it part of the rest of the wall and then center the TV.
For sound - we're gonna try out the Roku Soundbar I got for Christmas and see how it is.
With that setup - I don't see much of a choice but to keep it over the fireplace. I don't like it right next to a window like that - you can forget ever watching TV during the day that way.
