Also, I had never had any sort of procedure where I had to be put under before. It was pretty impressive.

Got wheeled into the OR, had to give my name and birthday again, was given some final instructions, had the mask put on my face, told to breathe in and relax…and then I woke up approximately 2 hours later. No fading out, I don’t recall dreaming, it was just…over.
The neat part was how the headache I had ALL DAY (probably from how I slept) was completely gone…and replaced with another kind of pain on my back. When I first came to, the nurse asked me to rate my pain, I said 5/10, and they gave me something (dilaudid I think) which knocked it down to a 3.
