It was also an era when lopsided confirmation votes were common. Now, not so much.

Voice votes to confirm were also par for the course, but you haven't seen one of those since 1965.

In the soon-to-be-current court config, only one justice received more Yea votes than Thurgood Marshall did. John Roberts, with 78 to Marshall's 69. Sotomayor is next with 68.
