And by generic I just mean not the over priced buying just for the name brand. Not sure if I actually need Home Assistant to link everything together and I'm probably just making it way more complicated than necessary.

I'd check your phone ecosystem first (Google, Apple HomeKit, Alexa). Most decent products (even the weird generic stuff which I also buy) has - oblique Apr 11, 05:42 1
