yep, just load up the card with it using your computer, then pop it in.

instructions below are good. just give it about 30 minutes to update and do it's thing, then you're set.
the way you config stuff is a little manual, but it's getting better. some devices require a developer account to get access to the api (ecobee is like that), but in all, the default device setups are pretty nice.
