Scheduled colonoscopy for next week. ANy advice?

First thing, I've never had general anesthesia. This will be "twilight" anesthesia. I had something like that for my wisdom teeth and it went badly. I made sure to discuss it with the doctor. He explained how it was different from my bad experience and I felt reassured.
Did you take the day off work for the prep?
Were you open with co-workers about why you were off work?

Just stay close to a toilet. It’s inconvenient but the worst part IMO is drinking the gross stuff.

Get moisturized toilet wipes. The ones that claim to be flushable (but still shouldn't be flushed). -- nm

Last time I didn't even have have anesthesia. It's a bit more uncomfortable but I was able to bike home right after

I found several simethicone [NOT 1] anti-gas pills afterwards helped immensely. -- nm

my most recent one was A Monday so didn't need a day off for prep (they recommended it though). Sure - no secrets! -- nm*
