We went variable in October. Still in the good portion of the spread between it and the fixed rate, but next increase starts the hurt.

I trust the history of variable advantage to sort itself out over the next four years.

I get the sense that the banks have lost the rope on inflation more than they expected last year, so I'm a bit nervous about the potential to overpay. -- nm
