Yup. Though this year the racing is at least mildly better so far -- at least in the qualifying.

I do like the race in concept. Last year was woefully messy and chaotic, but I'm hoping this year will be better.
But if NASCAR wanted to feature an actual competitive dirt race among the drivers, they should put the drivers in actual dirt cars -- put them in USAC cars or in the ARCA Menards Series at least. Most of 'em grew up through karting into USAC then to ARCA, Truck Series, etc. Let's see what they remember.
And you could do something interesting on that weekend, too. If the Cup drivers spent the weekend at an ARCA dirt track race, you could bump the other drivers up one level for a weekend challenge. Or mix 'em around a bit.
I have no idea how the owners and team managers would work that out among themselves, though. A good chunk of the drivers could stay within the same ownership group, but most of them would end up switching themselves around to different teams.
