My niece by marriage used to live about two miles from us. She and my nephew moved home because she was part of a close-knit family and received lots of pressure to go back.

They're part of the deep south and have strong roots in bluegrass music. I wouldn't have expected them to get vaccinated. Thankfully, her parents did, and it literally saved their lives. They got COVID very seriously and would have died if not for their shots. She was so relieved.

We hear so much about infuriating situations like yours. It was refreshening to hear one that went the other way.
