My new HOA dues are $33/mo. I'm reading through the rules now. -- (edited)

- No temporary buildings, shed, mobile home, RV, tent, shack, above-ground pools
- No derelict vehicles
- Trucks, etc. parked in garage
- No animals other than regular household pets
Seems pretty normal. Mostly their budget ($20k/yr) is for maintenance of the common areas (park, mailboxes, etc) though they do seem to be sitting on $65k of assets :)
Don't see any mention of restrictions or permissions needed for solar (already have seen 2 or 3 homes in the neighborhood with it)

That sounds a lot like our HOA’s rules. Quite a few of the rules are not enforced.

No above ground pool is a little surprising since it doesn't appear there's an association pool.

I realize some of you don't got a choice, but I never ever ever live in an HOA again. -- nm

Yeah, we're planning to do solar as well, but I'm awaiting the HOA rules.
